The Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition
In the summer of 2023, I was hired by The Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition as their summer social media and marketing intern. This internship taught me so much about how to target certain audiences and how to create engaging content. I learned how to think creatively and create successful Instagram reels and TikToks. I worked on telling stories and creating a connection between the coalition's work and those in the community.
Instagram Reels
I filmed and edited informational, testimonial, and aesthetic videos for SVBC's social media platforms. The videos were posted on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The highest-viewed reel that I created received around 4,000 views on Instagram.
Photography
During my internship with the VBC, I took photos at events, and local bike rides, as well as pictures of volunteers. This put me out of my comfort zone as I went to many new locations and learned how to put myself out there when meeting new people and taking their photos.
