Warfel's Chocolates
This was a school project where we were given a local business to make out-of-home ads and print ads for their business. For our project, we chose a billboard as well as a magazine ad because we felt that these mediums worked best with our target audience.

I was the group member in charge of making the print design for our magazine ad.
This is a billboard that would be placed on highway 81 as you are on your way to Harrisonburg, VA.

Target Audience: Millienials located in Harrisonburg, Virginia
Deliverables: Out-of-home and a print ad
Project Overview
For this project, my classmates and I were tasked with creating print and out-of-home ads for a local chocolate business, Warfel's Chocolates, located in downtown Harrisonburg, Virginia. Our team decided to take a family and gift-centered approach because we chose that these ads would be sent out during the holiday months of November and December. We knew that Millenials are very family oriented and like buying from local businesses so we combined these two ideas to fit into our big idea of "Gift Giving Made Sweet with Warfel's Chocolates."

For the print ad, we decided to put the ad in a magazine since Millenials are very into lifestyle magazines and so we thought this would be the perfect spot for this ad. The out-of-home ad was a bit more difficult to figure out. We needed an out-of-home ad location that would maximize the space while also being generally located in a spot where millennials would see it. We decided to choose a billboard because many Millenials drive their children to school and they also commute to work.

What I learned!
This project was difficult because I had never worked on a project with one of the deliverables being an out-of-home ad. So that was really interesting to learn about what made a good billboard and how to make sure you were achieving your client's goals as well.
